Choreo Buddy is operated by Rudy van Os, owner of Tonbi, based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. If you have any questions, contact me at contact@choreobuddy.com.
Choreo Buddy is a tool for dancers to record, organise, and practice choreographies. It is a practice aid, not a backup service or cloud storage platform. You should always keep your own copy of any video you upload.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By signing up you confirm this.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure. You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of other people.
You own everything you upload. I don't claim any rights to your videos, notes, or other content.
By uploading content, you give me a limited licence to store and deliver it to you (and to people you explicitly share it with) for the purpose of running the service. I don't use your content for advertising or share it with third parties beyond what's needed to operate the app.
You are responsible for making sure you have the right to upload what you upload. This includes videos that contain other people — you must have their consent to record and share them.
You agree not to upload or share content that:
I reserve the right to remove content that violates these rules and to suspend or delete accounts that repeatedly do so.
Choreo Buddy offers free and paid subscription plans. Current plan details and pricing are available at choreobuddy.com.
Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you agree to Stripe's terms as well as these.
Subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings — your access continues until the end of the current billing period, with no refund for partial months.
I may change prices with 30 days' notice. If you don't agree to a price change, you can cancel before it takes effect.
Dance videos often contain copyrighted music. For personal practice, this is generally acceptable. However, if you share content widely or in a commercial context, you are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate rights. I am not liable for copyright claims arising from content you upload or share.
When you share a choreo with another user, they receive a copy in their own library. You can stop sharing at any time, which removes the active link — but copies already claimed by others remain in their libraries.
If you delete a video you have previously shared, recipients will see a notice that the original was removed. Their copy of the metadata and practice history is preserved, but the video itself will no longer be playable unless they replace it with their own recording.
You can delete your account directly from the app settings. When your account is deleted, your videos are removed from my servers. Shared copies held by other users are tombstoned — playback is removed, but their metadata shell is preserved.
I retain anonymised usage data (not linked to your account) for service improvement.
I aim to keep Choreo Buddy running reliably, but I don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. I may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance. If I decide to shut the service down entirely, I will give at least 30 days' notice.
If you believe content on Choreo Buddy violates these terms or infringes your copyright, please report it at contact@choreobuddy.com.
Choreo Buddy is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any loss of data, loss of content, or indirect damages arising from your use of the service.
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
I may update these terms from time to time. I'll notify you by email for material changes. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
